Is Cremation A Sound Choice For the Dead Person??

by tkwriter on December 13, 2009

Every death is a sad occurrence especially for the immediate family members. There are many things to consider at this point. Usually, the last thing that they would want to imagine is the proper clearance of the dead loved ones body.

People rarely express in appropriate documents the manner that they would want to be let go at the moment of death. And so oftentimes, it becomes a family issue. There is a choice between cremation and conventional burial. Although not everyone in the family would primarily opt for the first one, it would still be a good idea to present it as an alternative. Many times, the funeral director mediates the situation, until the unanimous decision is achieved.

If the bereaved family is encountering financial problems, oftentimes the cremation process is presented as an alternative. In any way, it’s not such a bad idea at all. Cremation is a time-honored practice as this process has been around for centuries. Although it’s said to be a procedure less chosen, it’s still good to give the immediate family a complete explanation on what goes on during the whole process.

If the dead loved one’s body has been cremated, the family can still choose to have a memorial service. In that time, instead of a public viewing, only images and the urn with cremains will symbolize the dead person. After the wake, the family can either choose to bury the urn in their chosen cemetery or put it in the home. The ashes may also be divided among the family. Each family member can also choose to have a little amount of cremains to be enclosed in a pendant.

The family’s hearts and minds would be at peace if the cremation would take place in a decent crematorium. It is essential to be sensible in choosing the right people who would handle the dead loved one. After all, even the dead deserves utmost respect up to the last moment.
