Make Up Application for Novices
Being beautiful is essential to every woman. Some say that beauty is not that important, but you have got to admit, being pretty in everyone’s eyes is still very flattering. The common thing that females use to enhance their beauty is make up. Make up is typically any cosmetic applied to a woman, or even a man’s face to change or improve the appearance. Make up is used by both sexes, especially those in theatre. It is usually the women, though, that make use of make up on a daily basis. If you want to make yourself, and your face, more beautiful, make use of some of the tips listed hereunder in applying make up with great results. This information of free makeup tips will be especially useful for girls just learning.
To begin, the basic things you will need are concealer, face powder, foundation, eye shadow, cheek blush, mascara, lipstick, lip shimmer, and the blush brush. These are the usual and everyday cosmetics of women. Some of these supplies can be obtained from free make up samples that come in gift sets when you make a purchase. One line of cosmetics that I really enjoy is MAC makeup tips.
Applying concealer all over your face is the first step. You should choose a concealer with a shade lighter than that of your foundation. Put this concealer over blemishes, under-eye circles or acne and spread it on your face thoroughly using either your fingertips or the sponge. Put some eye cream first if the concealer “cakes”. Then, you can apply the dots of foundation in your face and spread it again until the face is entirely covered. Pressed or loose powder should be applied so both concealer and foundation will last longer.
You can proceed to the eye area once you are done with your face. Use your eyebrow shadow and apply it using a brush. There are also pencils, but these can sometimes give unnatural-looking results. Next, use light, medium and dark shades of the eye shadow color you chose to apply earlier. The medium shade will be applied on the creases, the lighter shade under the eyebrows, and the darker shade on the upper lids. Line the eyelashes’ lower lid area using eyeliner. Normally, two-thirds of the lower lid is lined but you can choose to line all across it for a darker look.
The next thing that you need to do is apply your mascara on both upper and lower lashes. Brown mascara is better to use if you have fair complexion. Meanwhile, if your coloring is brown-black or black, use darker colors. You may even experiment and try to use colored mascara like plum or navy. However, too bright colors are to be avoided if you do not wish to be a laughingstock. After the mascara application is finished, go back to your face. Put some cheek blush on your face. It is best to smile when applying brush.
Once you are now done with the basics, you can put the finishing touches. Find a lipstick color that goes well with your skin tone and apply it on your lips. Then, line your lips with lip liner; this is used after lipstick application and not prior to it. This way, once the lipstick has worn off, there would be no remaining lip liner. Pale-colored lipstick combined with dark lip liner is a no-no.
And that is how you put on simple make up. You can choose to do your own style if you are already familiar at this. These are merely the basics of applying cosmetics in your face for those who do not know how to do it yet.
