On High Street you usually only get the sales in January and summer sales in mid-season. The other parts of the year you would be expected to pay the full price retail. But now things are changing a bit. Today the stores are feeling desperate to sell their stock so more sales are cropping up more often. We are noticing Start of the Season Sales, Autumn Sales, End of the Season Sales, and Spring Sales…. they are happening everywhere you shop. Now you are not sure when the next sale is going to be in a store.
On thing is definite though, the Internet has more sales than High Street does. Stores dislike having signs saying SALE too much over their departments. They feel is cheapens the brand and screams out desperation. But the stores still need to encourage people to buy their stock that is surplus, and the 2 ways that they can do this are using certain clearance outlets or on their own website.
